As our name suggests we've been hiring Non-Linear editing equipment for many years now, with a range of storage solutions, hard drives and systems we can accommodate bookings from single suites with standalone RAID arrays to multiple edits sharing media across a fast fibre channel network. We can also integrate any of our other equipment and services into our storage networks - for example our offload kits can back up media to shared storage enabling editors to begin working with that footage as soon as it is backed up.
Digital Imaging Technicians & Data Wranglers
Since the advent of this relatively new role Visuals has been building a small team of trusted freelancers and field-based staff. Available to carry out verified data copies and transfers, QC recorded footage, and transcode for dailies, archiving & post production. Working in conjunction with the DoP and camera operators our D.I.Ts can ensure that the look you carefully crafted on set is carried across to post.
Also guaranteeing that your data is as safe as possible - backed up to at least two locations. This is usually now a requirement from production insurance policies, our staff can ensure you have multiple copies on set and deep archive capabilities from LTO tape.
Workflow Advice
We believe the key to success with the ever changing file-based market is planning. Our expert staff will guide you through file-based media from the moment it leaves the camera, through backup and processing, ingesting into post and delivering broadcast masters. We can also consult on your behalf when approaching post facilities - detailing exactly how you're working, what you'll provide to the online / grade and how that will fit with your production needs.
