Our Avid Adrenaline and Nitris DX suites offer the latest version of Media Composer and boast native support for RED, Canon HD-DSLR, Sony EX and Panasonic P2 via Avid Media Access (AMA).
A full suite consists of Avid DNA box, HP or Apple workstation, 2 x TFT monitors, sound mixer, Genelec audio monitors, Sony SDI client monitor and all the cabling necessary to connect to VTRs. HD Monitoring is available when hiring Adrenaline HD or Nitris DX suites with a 24" Sony/JVC HD Monitor.
Whether you prefer to work with Mac or Windows we have a system for you, and all our desktop suites can be connected to our Avid Unity shared storage via fibre channel - for multiple stream editing.

Apple Editing Systems
Visuals' Final Cut Studio suites now ship with the latest version of Final Cut Studio, including Final Cut Pro 7, Color 1.5, Soundtrack Pro 3, and Motion 4 - Apple have pushed the boundaries again and have essentially created Post-Production in a box! From your assembly edit, to online grading and sound design.
With our desktop systems connectivity is provided by the AJA Kona card installed in each Mac Pro, enabling your editor to digitise and playback HD-SDI sources. We install all our suites with industry standard monitoring equipment: Apple Cinema Displays, Genelec audio monitors, sound mixer and looms to connect to VTRs.
Final Cut Studio also supports Sony EX, P2 and now RED 4K editing, enabling you to render your final master in full resolution, and grade from the raw sensor data through Color 1.5, ensuring no loss of quality.

Laptop Editing Systems
For mobile editing we also hire 15" MacBook Pros - we can configure these laptops to run Final Cut Studio, Avid Media Composer or both!
With the built in ExpressCard 34 slot these machines make use of the quick Sony Ex workflow - SxS cards can be inserted into the laptop and you can begin editing straight away. Ideal for file based shoots that require on-location editing against tight time constraints.
Customise your hire with an additional Apple HD Cinema Display - giving your editor more space for your timelines and video playback. All our MacBook Pros are Aluminium Unibodies and ship with a protective sleeve and Peli case.
Avid Unity Storage
Designed specifically for storing, accessing, and sharing media in collaborative workgroup environments, Avid Unity systems offer significant advantages over simple storage area networks. Media and projects can be shared between multiple edit stations. Avid Unity also offers the best protection against corruption and data loss.
With Unity you can connect both Mac and PC via Fibre channel or over Ethernet, and add on expansion chassis for greater capacity. Currently we can hire systems from 8TB to a massive 32TB!

File Based Media Management
As file based / tapeless cameras are becoming more common place in the television world, we offer a range of solutions to cope with managing the data these cameras create.
For processor intensive workflows - such as RED, we can supply 8-core Mac Pros. These machines offer unbeatable processing power to ensure you generate media for editorial and dailies as quick as possible.
The most crucial part of any tapeless workflow is data security and backup - as cards arrive from set they need to be backed up and archived to multiple destinations. We like to consider ourselves as file based veterans, and can supply your production with all the kit you need to back up every shot securely - to external hard drives, external RAID arrays or LTO tape for archiving.
